Word of mouth from another RR member.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SELF ADVOCACY GROUP?

Rainbow Rights is for people who have the right to be who they are and who have problems with learning disabilities.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SELF ADVOCACY?

I enjoy the group meetings that we go to and being involved in the meetings, who like to speak up.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

I love cooking, that’s my favourite thing I like to do, I enjoy my video games.

WHY IS RAINBOW RIGHTS GOOD FOR YOU?

Well, its great to meet up with everybody on Zoom and in person beacause you cheer me up, sometimes I feel low and you cheer me up. I thank Cam, Jack , Sue, Dean, Sarah for cheering me up.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH RAINBOW RIGHTS?

I’ve been a member since last year some time, I reckon it was 2022 sometime. Maybe a year.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT RAINBOW RIGHTS?

Well, the good comrades and people that understands our disabilities.

IF YOU WERE PRIME MINISTER WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CHANGE?

Oh dear, that’s a big question. If I was PM I would say more equal rights for people and learning to accept people for who they are not for what they are, no more bashing and we don’t need upsetting workds.
