Self Advocacy means to stand up for your rights and to stand up for other people and to respect your rights.

RR is a group that meets in person or on Zoom and it’s an LGBTQI+ group.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SELF ADVOCACY?

What I like about self advocacy is that it helps me to speak up for my rights and speak up in the community and be respected in the community and not to be picked on as disability person.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

I do lots of committee meetings online, I go out to dinner with my girlfriends sometimes, and I like going for lots of walks.

WHY IS RAINBOW RIGHTS GOOD FOR YOU?

Because RR are a friendly group and they listen to what you are talking about.

WHAT YEAR DID YOU START COMING TO RAINBOW RIGHTS?

I think I am a new member, I started in late 2022.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT RAINBOW RIGHTS?

That everyone in the group is very friendly and kind, and polite.

IF YOU WERE PRIME MINISTER WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CHANGE?

The LGBTIQ community, I would want people to be known as gay or lesbian or transgender. To not be afraid of your gender or sexuality in the community.
