WHAT DOES SELF ADVOCACY MEAN TO YOU?
It is a cause and you I have your say about what you believe in
and you can fight for your rights for the group and be part of the community.
HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT RAINBOW RIGHTS?
I heard about Rainbow Rights through Victoria Pride, through Adam.
Rainbow Rights is a group of people with an Intellectual Disability
and we are LGBTQ+ people who are fighting for the rights to be independent in the community.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SELF ADVOCACY?
It is fun and casual. We get on very well in the group.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I enjoy doing puzzles, going to the football, horse racing and
relaxing.
WHY IS RAINBOW RIGHTS GOOD FOR YOU?
It is good because it gets me out and about into the community and
to get me out of myself.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH RAINBOW RIGHTS?
I’ve been with Rainbow Rights for about three years, I think. 2020
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT RAINBOW RIGHTS?
I like RR because it felt all abilities through disability and fight for the LGBTIQA to fit in the community.
IF YOU WERE PRIME MINISTER WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CHANGE?
To bring in power and the law to get rid of right-wing people. To bring in equal rights for LGBTIQ people to be accepted in the Australian Consitution.
